Wood Fired Pizza Oven Evenings
We had a very successful trial run of our wood fired pizza oven last Saturday. We cooked pizzas on demand for nearly all the guests staying with us on our campsite and in our B&B to rave reviews. So we are going to be firing up our pizza oven again this Friday evening. We hope that this will become a regular weekend event throughout the summer, weather and numbers permitting .
All our pizza bases are hand stretched from homemade dough. You can choose your own ingredients from a selection which will include both meat, vegetarian and vegan options plus our own homegrown spinach, rocket and basil. The wood comes from our own trees and is seasoned, sawn and chopped ourselves.
Our small pizzas (6-7”) at £5 each are really popular. They are the right size for smaller children and those just wanting a snack. While those with larger appetites can come back for a second (or third) with different toppings making a good meal and your last slice of pizza is still hot!
If you would like to join us for a pizza please let us know by 10 am on Friday morning so we know how much dough and toppings to prepare.
We will also be offering bookable half day pizza experiences. These will include making and stretching the dough, firing the oven, then preparing and cooking your own pizza. Please contact us if you fancy trying this.
